Honestly, that simply isn't acceptable. Lotus Notes 8.5 has been out for almost two years. How long does it take to get such a basic and essential feature working right. At the beginning of the year, I had to explain to the CIO why I disabled adding Internet addresses to recent contacts. I told him then that recent contacts would be enhanced in 8.5.2 because that is what I had been told. Instead, it would appear that 8.5.2 has made things even worse.
Tonight I had to explain to a senior VP why his emails to the CEO are being returned because his recent contacts contains a bogus address for the CEO. I'm afraid I will have to explain to the CIO in a couple of days why I am completely disabling recent contacts.
In a company where both the CEO and CIO hate Lotus Notes because they used Outlook and Exchange at their previous companies, it is getting increasingly difficult justifying why we continue to use Notes.
